Use case

The talk you rehearsed. The question you didn't.

MuteHint listens to the room during your presentation or pitch, picks out the question someone just asked and shows a short answer you can give, drawn from the notes you gave it.

What you see during the call

Three things, the same on every call. No scores, no labels, no checklist to read.

1

The question that was just asked

MuteHint listens to the other side of the call and picks out the question. It shows it in a small Question box, so you can check it heard the same thing you did.

2

A short answer you can say

Below the question is a few sentences in plain spoken language, with the key phrases in bold. Read it at a glance, then say it your way.

3

The next step, when you ask

Press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac) and it gives you the next step. A Conversation panel keeps the questions asked so far.

For example

They ask: “How is this different from what we use today?”

Good question. Three things change on day one: setup takes an afternoon, not a quarter; your team keeps its current tools; and you only pay for the seats you use. Happy to show the side-by-side after this.
Sample answer. What you see on a real call depends on what is asked and on the context you gave it.

Make it about you

Give it your deck in a few lines

Before you present, choose the Presentation profile and paste in what you would want to have to hand if someone asks.

  • The main points of your talk or deck, a line per slide.
  • The numbers you might be asked about: prices, results, dates.
  • The questions you expect, and how you would like to answer them.

The text you paste is sent to your AI provider and saved with your session on MuteHint's servers.

Stays hidden

On your screen, not in the call

MuteHint asks your operating system to leave its window out of screen sharing and recording. It never joins the call.

Screen share

Share your whole screen. The hint window is not in the picture.

The call itself

MuteHint never joins as a participant. Nobody sees a bot in the room.

Your clicks

Ctrl+M (Cmd+M on a Mac) lets the mouse pass through it to the app underneath.

A sudden glance

Ctrl+\ (Cmd+\ on a Mac) hides it instantly. A transparency slider handles the rest of the time.

Before a call that matters, share your screen once with a friend or a second device and check that the window stays out of the picture on your setup. How the window is hidden

Most talks are won or lost in the Q&A

You can rehearse a talk until it is smooth. You cannot rehearse every question. The moment someone in the room asks the one you did not expect is the moment people remember, because it shows whether you know the subject or only the slides.

A good answer to a hard question is short. Repeat the question so everyone heard it, answer it in a sentence or two, and offer to go deeper afterwards. A long answer usually means you are still working out what you think.

MuteHint helps with the pause after the question. It puts a short answer on your screen built from the notes you pasted in. It only knows what you gave it, so check a number before you say it. The talk, and the answer, are still yours.

Questions people ask before they try it

Can the other side see MuteHint during my call?

No. The hint window appears only on your screen, and MuteHint never joins the call as a participant. Click-through mode (Ctrl+M, or Cmd+M on a Mac) lets your mouse keep working with the call underneath, and Ctrl+\ (Cmd+\ on a Mac) hides the window instantly.

What happens when I share my screen?

MuteHint asks your operating system to leave its window out of screen sharing and recording, so you can share your whole screen. Before a call that matters, share your screen once with a friend or a second device and check. If the window ever shows up on your setup, Ctrl+\ (Cmd+\ on a Mac) hides it while you share.

Does it listen to me or to the other person?

By default it listens to the other side: the sound coming out of your computer. In Settings you can switch it to your microphone, or to both.

Can I give it my CV or my pitch?

Yes. Paste your CV, the job description, your pitch or your notes into the context box before you start. The AI uses it to write answers that sound like you.

Do I have to tell the other side?

MuteHint does not join or record the call. Laws and workplace rules about using assistance on calls differ by country and employer, and you are responsible for following the ones that apply to you.

Does it work when I present in person, not on a call?

Yes, if your laptop can hear the room. Set Audio Mode to your microphone in Settings, so MuteHint listens to the room instead of a call. Test it once where you will present, because a large room or a far-away questioner can be hard to hear.

Your next call is coming either way. Take a coach in with you.
